    Hello,

After reorganizing my collection I ended up with about 300 coins which will be stored each separate in plastic transparent capsule. Most of the coins are silver, but I have many coins made out of bronze, copper, aluminium, zinc etc.

So far, my approach with silver coins was to dip them in pure acetone (10 minutes) and then rinse them again in pure acetone, put them vertically, wait for acetone to evaporate and place them in plastic capsule. This way I could be more or less sure that coins are free of things which could harm them in a long run.

I am not sure about other materials. Should I also dip bronze, aluminium, zinc or copper coins in acetone, using the same procedure as for the silver coins? Or would it be possible harmfull for them?

    Thanks.
