Ive been thinking about getting a subscription to Numismatic news becuase its weekly and very cheap. Is this a good magazine? How many pages are usually in it?

If there are better ones please tell.
    Thanks!

Yes it is a very good mag - usually about 70 - 72 pages. I actually like Coin World a little better - 120 pages - but I subscribe to them both.

I get Coin World. To me it's good for the articales, but the ads are for the rich & famous. I have never bought anything, too expensive. I would like to get a weekly or monthly that is more geared to the middle class collector, and still have all the coin news.

Coin world is longer, bigger than Numis. News, but, the articles are far superior in Numis News,.
However, Paul Green just died, and even tho they have a backlog of his articles time will tell if the qualilty will continue.

I have had a subscription to both Coin World and Numismatic News. I prefer Coin World. The travel logs in Numismatic News from Milsher (not sure how to spell his name) are to long and frankly have very little info on coins. But if you want to know about the best places to eat in the US his travel logs are entertaining.

I agree, both NN and CW if you can, but CW if only one.

I pick up Coin World at the Barnes and Noble at Union Square in Manhattan, but I should probably get a subscription. the articles are OK. Its not the NY Times, but it can be enterataining. One thing though seems to be that they are stuck on this Liberty Dollar thing and are supportive of a hard currency. I find that distastful and unfortunate.
