All these rolls that I have gone through have left me with quite a large pile or coins that I would like to roll up and return to a bank. What coin counters have you used, and what pros and cons have you found? Perhaps, we could come to a consensus on what coin counting machine works best for the most reasonable price! The local coinstar machine at the grocer takes 9.8 cents out of every dollar, so we can use that as a variable for the equation. Thank you for your opinions.
I would bring them back to the bank? Maybe the regional bank manager might get a little hissy about it, but the tellers don't mind - heck it gives them something to do. Them banks have the big super counters, that will gobble fifty pounds of coinage in 30 second. Good luck keeping up with that... What I've seen with those cheap plastics ones, is they suck, constantly jam, and give false counts. They're a nice novelty, but for a real work load? Forget it!
