I'm kind of on pace with some them. I'd have to say that my least favorites were Wyoming and New Mexico. They also had the one's I really like among their favorites. My favorite is Utah followed by Oregon, Alaska, and Virginia. So, I think they did an OK job ranking them.

Even though I love the Oregon design (my home state), I still believe that they should have had a different design. Crater Lake looks great...but I wanted a covered wagon, it just seemed right.

Yeah, the Indiana as best liked design has me stumped. Must be a lot of nascar fans voting or something. My favorite is Nevada, for the overall design and symetry. My least favorite is Wyoming, for complete lack of originality.

Check it out again Guy, Indiana is #10 on the worst list. I can't understand Louisiana winding up on the worst list. I like that design along with Pennsylvania (my home state) and Connecticut, two of which also wound up on that list. Alaska at #1 is right on in my book.

put a peach on a coin

I really liked each new quarter design proposed back in 1999 because each design depicted our nation's history and geography and independence and .....

....and then they put a peach on a coin.

    Very best regards,

    Maybe Connecticut?
I like Nevada and Alaska the best. My home state of Missouri wasn't bad. I have always hated New Hampshire's the most. The mountain just looks like a big blob to me. I didn't even know what I was looking at untill someone told me.

I have seen this design online in the past as a choice for Nevada...I don't know if it was an official finalist but I sure love this design. I agree that Nevada is nice as it is, but if they had chosen this one it would have been my favorite by far.

I really hate the design they gave to my state , Illinois , Lincoln looks bowlegged , only a Chicagoan would know that the tall building is the John Hancock building , it's just an ugly design , there are so many good ones it's hard to choose , Alaska is great as is Hawaii and many others but I love Montana .

Well the only one I really did not like is Wyoming. The reverse just looked plain and empty to me. As for the rest, all are okay - no real favorites. Kind of surprised with a few of them. Oh well.

    My Georgia quarter

I know what I said about not liking Georgia's selection of the peach. However, I do enjoy this copy of the Georgia peach.

As a poker player, I think that design would have been the best. A train, a coin, and two aces---WOW!
