Which state quarters do you think are the best and worst designed? What do you think they're going to do with the quarter in 2009? (That is, if they don't extend the program to include D.C. and territories) I predict they'll do a forward-facing portrait of Washington like the nickel (hopefully better than the Washington Dollar). As for the reverse, I hope they don't go back to the old one.
Daniel, you must be joking! New Mexico has another boring "state outline" and Florida has tiny, little icons and a lot of blank space. In fact, Florida is my least favorite design. Ah, but as they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and who am I to say what, in your eye, is beautiful? I guess that's what makes the world go 'round... Personally, I like Nevada's design. Charging bold, powerful horses set against a mountainous backdrop with the setting (or rising) sun! I also like the upcoming Arizona and Alaska designs. Wyoming looks to be awfully bland... I'll have to hold it in my hand to see if my opinion changes. Ah, but then you know what they say about opinions; they're like @%$#&*&%, everybody's got one!

I guess I'm the lone fan of NM. For some reason I just really like it. BTW Florida is in my top 3. :mouth: Like you said, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. what I would have liked is each state trying to design a coin with america captured in it, not a cow or a car or a guitar
Truthfully i'm not a fan of any of the state quarters. I honestly can't wait until the series is done and they bring back the traditional washington quarter design. I'm a huge 32-64 silver quarter fan, so maybe that might have something to do with it
