Bern is a city which I have longed to visit for years by this point. I really enjoy Swiss coins but the college boy budget keeps myself from getting any Swiss gold. Love the 1/2 Duplone, nice strike and fantastic style for sure. Heres my oldest from Bern... Not nearly as impressive as yours. I hope to have a full set of Swiss rappen soon, but I would gladly take a detour for a pretty gold piece like yours above. Thanks as always for sharing with us.

I am busy with Fall cleanups/ lots of leaves....plus I have a crappy cold My fav. coinage is Central European Holy Roman Empire Swiss Kantons Transylvania German States Italian States The material from Zurich/ Chur/ Bern/ Basel are stunning. Esp. the ones I cannot afford. Recently saw a AV 20 Dukaten from Basel ND (1741) too die for. Some say $$$ cannot buy happiness/ I disagree!
