Question #4 revisited: The answer to question 4 is being re-examined. I will provide an update when I hear back from the BEP. Question #5: During World War II, the BEP and Forbes Lithograph Company printed Allied Military Currency Series 1943 for use in Italy. How are the notes printed by Forbes distinguishable from those printed by the BEP? Answer #5: The Series 1943 AMC notes for Italy printed by Forbes Lithograph Company have a small stylized letter "f" hidden in the scrollwork. I would like to submit another answer to #5 for consideration. The second issue (solely FLC) had the amount written out, unlike the previous bills designed by the BEP. Thanks either way!
The question specifically referred to Series 1943, not 1943A. Series 1943 was printed by both the BEP and Forbes Lithograph. Series 1943A was only printed by Forbes.
