This was sold to me in a 2x2 calling it a mint error. I think it may be PMD, but the fact that it seem UNC and has no other damage makes me think maybe not.
I cringe at it being bent, but I love those gold maple leafs 1/10th oz. Maybe try putting it in a vice with wood blocks to flatten it out ??? Not sure if that would work ?? Might damage it more...nevermind.
Just think about it. For all practical purposes the die faces are flat and parallel. They come together on the planchet and strike up the coin. If the planchet had been bent pre-strike, the force of the strike would have flattened it and removed the bend. And it's not a spring, it won't "bounce back" into its previous shape.
