I am curious about what will bring the higher bids, pre sale ebay auctions prior to Apr 30 th or actual in hand and ready to ship ebay auctions after Apr 30 th. The prices seem to be running 2.5 to 3 times for the proof coins and 2 - 2.5 for the mint coins. The chronicle's are running about 2 times the cost. This is all pre- sale prices.

I'd go with the pre-sale. It seems like a bird in the hand situation to me.

If selling, I'd sell them in pre-sale auctions, but remember that you can't list the item unless you can promise to ship the item to the winner within 30 days of the auction end.

Anyone else seeing this in their order summary??

The individual coins are all coming up in stock and reserved for me. :)

I think the coins will reach highs on or about May 15, due to so many people not being able to purchase any of the five possible options. Many people are also afraid to purchase from an EBAY PRESALE, so they might wait until they can buy from someone more trusted. Then, when dealers start unloading their orders (and I'm positive every dealer in the country, big or small, ordered some) the price will come crashing down.

I would hold the Founding Father UNC for sure, only 58,000 minted compared to 192,000 for Founding Father proof.

I wouldn't sell either unless you really need the money now. They're only going for about double so you won't make that much and if they go down, which is doubtful, who cares?Chances are, they'll go up a bit more.
I've heard that the lettering on the Founding Father proof has incused lettering around the rim (true) and the UNC has raised letters???
I only have the proof so I'm wondering if it's true. It's hard to tell from the few photos I've seen on the web but Robert Chambers on Coin Vault said it and he's never wrong..hehe

    $150.00 target for unc. version

i predict the unc. version of founding father will hit $150.00 a piece after initial selling from people who bought more at e-bay. but after that it will go up again to over one hundred. beside dealers and investors will also hungry for that. 58,000 pcs for millions of american. no kidding. hold for better price.

Do a search 4 "ben franklin founding father", on the left side click on completed listings.

    benjamin franklin prices

benjamin franklin commems now selling at $85.00 for unc and $89.00 for proof at coast to coast. both founding father and scientist priced the same. but see potential for unc to overtake proof soon.
