I was curious if there is any way to remove the fingerprints from this brass coin without giving it a "polished" look. It's not pricey or rare, I just enjoy its shape and subject. Let me know and thanks!

Love the coin, but I'll bet the print is there to stay.

Ugh - Was hoping for some mystical cleaning voodoo from this site's coin elders. ;)

Interesting, that I have tried dilute ammonia and would if you try it go extremely dilute and see with liberal dilution with water afterwards how it does.

The coin was for sale on Ebay.

I do not mind the fingerprints. They show that somebody held on to the coin.

Acetone will remove the fingerprints without damaging the patination of the coin.
