I am somewhat new to coin collecting, been doing it for about two years now. Just really doing Peace Dollars. I want to get into submitting coins to NGC. I was told by some folks that it could be good to get with a coin dealer, or someone that buys/sells coins and piggy-back off of them when they submit. This can help reduce costs for both sides. I live in White Marsh, MD. and was wondering if anyone here knows of a business that would help with this?
If you join the ANA, you can send coins to NGC for grading without having to join NGC. You will still pay grading fees. Just an option.
The $150 NGC membership is their best option, you get a $150 grading credit to go along with it so really joining was free
This is my first collection 33 years ago. British Virgin Island $20 dollar coin. I surely overpaid for this subscription and now I have 80 of them. Now I'm only focusing on U.S. Denomination coins. These coins will go away for another 30+ years. Happy Collecting
A pawn shop also is a good place to get stuck with counterfeits and cleaned coins that won’t get graded.
