Sorry i havent been around much this month. My home pc fried in a storm a few weeks ago, and i have been so busy at work, i havent had a chance to visit I got a chance to go to the bank today... cashed in a couple hundred 1's. One of the tellers came up behind me and asked me to stop by here window when i got a chance, she said she wasnt going to sell it to me, but wanted to show me. I told her she was a tease lol I steped away from the window i was at, to walk to here window. When i got there, she showed me a $100 star note. It was cool but i do like stars. The note was a 2001 in maybe EF condition. The note did have 3 leading zero's in the serial as well. I told her it was a cool note, and she grinned but then she told me she did have something for me. So she goes diggin in the draw pulling out piles of money to get to notes at the bottom of each slot. She told me she knew i liked star notes, so she shows me a $10 star note, and 4 $5 star notes. The $10 was no big deal other then a star, and 1 of the 5's was no big deal aside from the star. but the other 3 $5's were something!! These 3 fives were the new design. CHCU or close to it, all stars, and 2 are in numerical order, with the 3rd off by only 10 or 15 from the consecutives. I told her i had been looking for the new 5 stars for a while, and she smiled. Then she told me that if she decided not to buy the $100, she will let me know. I will buy it of course, but its a bit much for me to keep, so maybe i will offer it up on here for face if anyone is interested in it. but after alot of looking, i now have 3 purple 5 star notes, and in such great shape.... it was a cool day
very nice! I actually told the teller (finally) that I collect older money. She said she'd be on the lookout. and next time I go in Im going to bring some examples of Silver Certificates and Red Seals.
