Ok so today, as with every thursday, I break away from work and run over to my favorite coin shop. I go in and as I always do I go through the German silver coins as if I'm going to find something new...well today I did.... I found this 1914 F German 1 Mark with BEAUTIFUL die cracks trhough out the whole obverse (I assume obverse I have never really thought about which is reverse or obverse on these!) Anyways, I have posted some pictures and I made them EXTREMLY large so you can take in the die cracks easily. The pictures are pretty bad because I am so excited about finding this coin that I can't hold still to take the pics! I could have done a normal sixed shot nad you could still see the die cracks, wonderful coin....Anyways, you can see the cracks on both sides of the bottom going almost from top to bottom and then on the top circling the top of the coin. I don't know if this is a common die crack in this series but I think it is a BEAUTIFUL piece. This coin is in, I would guess, AU condition so everything is wonderful... Now for the part were it really makes me happy... I paid 50 cents for it!!! WOOHOO... somedays you feel great so no one rain on my parade!! Thanks! (I'll post better pics later) Todd
