Aloha. I recently got back from a dealer on Maui and I picked up this 1924 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle. Most beautiful coin ever made in my opinion, and it was a badge to pick up this beauty. Let me know what you think, I am getting so lucky these days to be able to find these coins in my area without having to order offline. This is one true masterpiece.

    DOUBLE DENOMINATION ERRORS
One of the most expensive, popular, and desired types of errors are the double denominations. This error happens when a coin is struck on a previously struck coin of another denomination. Examples are a cent on a struck dime, and a nickel on a struck cent. The most dramatic are those with considerable design visible from the original strike. It is slabbed, as PCGS MS-64! I don't see myself purchasing a coin this expensive raw.

Yeah but the chinease are getting really good at making fake pcgs slabs, there was a thread on here with like 1000 pictures of counterfit coins and i was just amazed, not saying yours is fake of course, this is by far my favorite coin out of them all, great investment.

I went to the PCGS cert verification and got a match, usually the first thing I do when I get a expensive coin in a slab is verify that the coin is genuine in a genuine slab.

Where did you buy it from? A dealer or what

I bought it from a coin dealer on Maui, I live on Oahu and my Aunt lives on Maui. I went over to visit my Aunt and I stopped by this large coin dealer that I usually stop by every time I visit Maui.

Very cool, wish I had a coin shop near me!

There's a small shop about 5 miles from me, but that medium-sized one on Maui is alot nicer and they deal in big ticket items. I visit about once every few months, because it costs $167 to fly from Oahu to Maui.
