Bday gift Hadrian AR Denarius Colleseum Hoard (favorite gift coin)

This is my Bday gift from my beautiful wife. She stopped by the local coin/gold store and talked to the manager who is a buddy of mine. Just so happened that he had this in his “hold” stock. (items they just bought and have to be held for a few days because of Ohio law.)

It’s also proof that I married WAAAAY over my station in life.

My wife knows more about modern coins than ancients, so she probably sees the slab as a good thing. That means this one will probably stay as is, unlike other jailed ancient Coins I’ve set free. Although she might be mad to find out I prefer it set free and don’t act on that....sooooo, we will have to see about freeing the coin from bondage.

It’s a Hadrian AR Denarius and the NGC slab is marked “Colosseum Hoard” and it’s listed as VF.

happy bday, a very thoughtful and nice gift! ..i bought this worn one just because one of my peeps was a Hadrian fan & it had a none typical reverse..
