Hi People, I recently acquired this coin, and I'm thinking of sending it in for grading. I was wanting to get some opinions on the grade. I am not very good at grading, but if I had to guess I would say MS63 to 64. Thanks for the help.
not sure. maybe compare it to current auctions on Ebay and also check ones that were auctions sold/completed. some of the slabs have MS 61-65 on them to compare your coin to.
Very handsome piece. To me, this looks like one of those "on the fence" pieces that could be a "super-slider" AU58... or an MS63. I tend to agree with your "MS63 to MS64" assessment, though the latter grade would be a bit of a longshot, probably. Send it in, and keep us posted on the results. PS- I looked it up. Definitely worth submitting, I'd say. PPS- here's one on eBay in an NGC MS62 holder. It's got nice cartwheel luster but is mildly scuffy (consistent with the 62 grade; I think it is correctly graded). Yours does look a tad nicer. So yeah, I think maybe a good shot at 63 for yours, with maybe a slim shot at 64. Unless it has a bad day at the TPG and they 58 it... but I think yours should go MS.
