I am trying to locate any coins or tokens that were used by the Basque people. One would think that they would use the same coins as Spain but I just don't know. If that's the case, are there any specifically Basque tokens? I have googled and I've found a couple of examples on this wikipedia link but I know that sometimes members here know info that just isn't posted on a website. Any information on coins or tokens for this region would be greatly appreciated. Here are two that you may well know. One of them is actually listed on the page you mentioned ... Issued during the Spanish civil war. Just a guess on my part. I have a gut feeling that the Basque people are the raiments of the Celtic people that once lived in Spain. Perhaps coins of the ancient Celts would count in your quest. Gotta love that Jai Alai !!!!! Chula !!!! Ripley
