Bargain Collecting: Guess The Ebay Price Paid For This

    This is a Great Britain 1942 HalfPenny. It is probably a bit scarcer in nice Unc. (read MS63 and above with good colour) than most realize. I bought it and a similar 1944 coin. Rather than GTG which is fine, guess the price for both...Please not excellent ship details including the pennants...

    I'm going to guess you paid around $5.00 for both coins.

    72,000,000 mintage for the 1942, doesn't seem scarce. I'd guess $10-$20 for the pair.

    The key is finding them with good strike, and good colour. As with later US coins, they were not saved. I'll post price tonight.

    This bring up the point: will there ever develop an interest in later pre-milled coins?

    LOL. There is an MS66BN on ebay for 65 USD.


    Actually guess was very good. USD $3.25
