The single biggest difference between this and the same book on Silver Seated Coins is that he uses the guesses on surviving mintages; an imitaiton of his book on A buyers Guide to Silver Dollars. James

That was fast! It wasn't supposed to arrive until Monday. Kudos to USPS for a change. The cover is creased but yeah, I didn't use it much other than to flip through to various sections and see if anything actually changed between the 2nd and 3rd editions. Despite the bold "revised and updated" sticker, it's word for word the same as the 2nd edition, with the exception of replacing the population tables with value comparison tables (as I noted in another post here), which I find to be rather useless. I can go to Numismedia to see YTD price changes.

But if you've never had the book, it's an excellent overall reference. I was never going to need two copies of the same book, so I'm happy to see it put to use. Now don't get sucked into quarters and halves!
