Just started a collection of Barber Dimes. I know I won't be able to a full Gem BU like I did with Frankies, but I'm hoping to have XF and up.

Any advice or things to watch for from those of you with expertise on this coin?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    That's a great goal.
    Good luck to you, friend.

I'm sure I don't have to tell you how much an 1895-O will cost.
My advice would be to purchase that one ASAP.

I would also encourage you to read, and study, everything you can get your hands on, concerning the series.

I'l get you started by linking you to this website.

An EF+ set for the Barber Dime series isn't going to be as difficult as say the Barber Quarter and Half Sets. It's still going to be expensive and a while before it is completed, but it should be a nice set when completed.
I currently have a F+ set that is about 85% complete and is still missing the 1895-O.

My advice to you is to definitely buy the 1895-O first. It will be the largest/ most expensive coin and you will be extremely happy when the last coin you need is that 07-D or 16-P.

take care and good luck. Please keep us posted with each purchase.
