You need to be a bit more specific than that. When you say a set of Barber coins, do you mean ALL of the Barber coinage in all denominations ?

    I mean 1 50c, 1 25c, 1 10c, and 1 5c, each in ms63 slabbed by tpg

    Nickel-$100 or so.
    Dime-$150-200
    Quarter-$300-350
    Half-$800-1000

    Total: $1500-2000

These are all estimates I took from the Red Book. If you are patient and lucky, sometimes you could snipe some of these at auction for less, but I wouldn't know for how much less.

    Hope that this helps.

Since there is no Barber nickel I assume you mean the Liberty nickel - anyway $1000 should do it.

The V nickel could be called a Barber Nickel, it was designed by William Barber,

Good luck on finding a Barber Half graded 63 for under $1000.I have been looking for a while for my type set and have had no luck. Seen some listed in magazines and thought they were way over priced.Seen some go at auctions for more than $1000.
    Hope this helps.

Look on Heritage then - there has been several recently for around $600.

shatsi - no, just the 4 coins in MS63.

Barber havles are so tough to find in any sort of nice condition........especially in 63. Good luck in your search!

You may want to check out if there are any coin shows in your area by just typing in coin shows and your state. If there are any you may want to go there with about $1,000 to $2,000 for what you want. With the market the way it is right now you may want to lower your standards to the AU or MS60 unless your fairly welthy or just want to get rid of lots of money.

lol, a $1000 Christmas budget for a 12 year old doesn't sound particularly middle class to me!

It sounds like it's time to start a coin talk adoption agency!;)
seriosly, morgan dollar 13, at your age if you stick with it you could have a great colletion in the future. I wish I had kept collecting when I was your age, but I took about 20 years off and I now regret it.
