    Hi,

I have couple of Barbados 5 cents since 1978 in a little bag. One look to have a double strike or something like that... but i'm not sure. On the reverse you can see something like a shape... maybe lighthouse shape...

You can compare with this normal coin (last picture).

What do you think about this coin ?

    Thank you!

    Hi,

Nobody know what kind of error is it?

    Thank you!

The only thing I see that could be construed as approximately a lighthouse shape looks like it's indented in the coin. Post mint damage. Someone probably squeezed a couple of the coins together.

    Hi jallengomez,

How do you explain the double strike on the obverse... picture #3?

And D... is disapear on BARBA OS.?.

    Thank you!

The coin is too worn to give a definitive explanation as to what has happened to it. The doubling looks to be md.

    Hi ikandiggit,

Yes, that's what i don't understand... "is too worn". I have this coin since 1978 in a bag with others as you can see. 5 years of existance with a look like year 1850 seem to me impossible :)

    Thank you!

Possibly a metal detecting find from a beach. All the details are worn smooth. Also the lettering is spread out which is typical for worn/damaged coins. It isn't a mint error.
