So I've gone to at least 4 different banks trying to buy a new roll of the Oregon or Minn state quarters and still have nothing. All but one said they didn't have any in stock. Wells Fargo did have them in stock but coldly refused to exchange unless I had an active account. (Felt like I walked out with my tail between my legs)

Do you guys have any tricks for finding fresh state quarters? The ones I find in circulation are always beat up.

Thanks...I'm just starting my collection and I'm having a blast.

The two banks and one credit union that I have approached have been willing to sell me a roll or two. Maybe because I am in California. don't really know but I would think that they should be available to the banks as of now.

Welcome to the forum ewricha, its nice haveing you as a member of the collecting community![IMG]

Not knowing exactly were you live, makes it impossible to give very good answers to your question. There are any number of factors that could be the problem. Just have patience and they will eventually show up, I hope.

Open an account there. They should have a free checking account that has no minimum balance requirement.

Basically, they have what you want and they have a relatively simple process for you to get it, so jump through their annoying hoops, it IS worth it!

    California

I live in the Long Beach area of Southern California.

I think you guys are right, joining Wells Fargo is probably a good idea because largest branch in the area. It just hurt to be so close and then rejected...

    Thanks for your input.

thats so weird that a bank wouldnt take your money for a roll of coins. maybe its just cause i havent been rejected yet, but how rude! though i dont know if i would just join a bank because they have a roll of coins i want.
