Here's another section that will interest both British Commonwealth note collectors & the Canadian members. It is about the banknotes that have been issued by the Bank of Canada since 1935.The 1935 issue (which is very expensive) was put into circulation to replace Dominion banknotes.I like the design of the new $50 from Canada,as it is of interest to me because of its historical reference to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council (or as many people refer to it as the Privy Council),which was the highest court for Canada (& Newfoundland) until 1949.New Zealanders lost the right of appeal to the Privy Council through the passage of the 'Supreme Court' Act in October 2003,which still angers a lot of New Zealanders, including myself.
