    Thanks!

It must date later than 1960. Probably something to do with the Fete de Folpotat, named after the stream running through Soulce.

Maybe the gave all the ladies some pink ones and all the men some brown ones and they had to present one each, together to get a big stein of beer oe a blow in the alpenhorn. A way of breaking the ice, so to speak

Maybe unless the people paired up they could buy nothing at the Fete.

It does sound like a good social mixer, even if I have only just invented it.

Hello AF! Nice to hear from you.
I dont know, it isnt dated, as far as I can see.
My guess is some comunist movement inside the canton, since there is a comunust star and it says republic and comune

The date comes from the use of a postcode, introduced in the early 1960s.

The Swiss are not big on communism, I prefer my party money theory myself.

    Still, anything is possible.

Cannot contribute anything plausible ;) but could the black text on the pink note be a stamp that was added later? Not sure what the république could mean in this context, but commune in Switzerland is simply a political term meaning municipality. Side note: Soulce ceased to be a commune in 2012 - since Jan-2013 it has been part of the Commune de Haute-Sorne.

I think its overprint, like in postage stamps, rather than classic stamp

Well even if it is some fantasy money, it should have some story behind it...
