Kind of hoping someone here might know; the forum attached to this site seems long dead. Is there any way to change the e-mail address on your account? I can't seem to find a way to do so.
Your CoinTalk account? Go to your username at the upper right of the screen (just to the left of Inbox and Alerts; might be different on a phone). Click on it. In the box that appears, click on "Contact Details". You'll be taken to a form with your current email address already filled in; you can change it there. The form says you may have to re-confirm your address.
Can’t you just open a new account with the correct information? If not you probably need to contact one of their administrators.
I could certainly do that but then I'd have to start my collection from scratch. Which would be a serious pain to do. Other alternative, and probably just going to do this, is just not change it; it doesn't really matter if nobody can send me an e-mail as nobody ever has anyway. I don't use it to sell anything, just to display my collection.
You need to contact a moderator and if they can't do it, one of the top administrators to see if they would, but I do not believe they would either to be honest, but it doesn't kick you out for asking IMO.
I've made a few attempts to contact administrators of the site and have never received a response. I'm not sure how actively the site is even being moderated anymore. It seems it's still in active use, technically, but does seem like less and less people are using and running it. Anyway more of a minor annoyance than a big deal; I had trouble logging back in until I finally managed to remember what e-mail and password I last used. (It's been years, and unfortunately the password recovery system will only send your password to your registered e-mail, which if it's an old e-mail you no longer have access to you doesn't help at all. Thankfully I just managed to eventually remember it anyway, as notes to the admin never got answered.) I'm not worried about people contacting me, as nobody ever has anyway; I just use the site as a convenient way to catalog and display my collection, and to host images of banknotes I want to share online. The only reason the e-mail on my account matters is for password recovery, but I'll just have to write it down somewhere I suppose, or hope I don't forget lol. I'd find a site to catalog my coins too, but never got around to it because coins are a pain to get decent pictures of. Banknotes I can throw directly on my scanner and get perfectly fine pictures of. (Does weird things to holograms and polymer windows, but I don't mind much.)
