Bank of Israel to release new banknote series in 2013 Images of new banknotes are posted on Bank of Israel official website, so it seems that this is how they`re going to look. IMHO, not the best looking design. Also, there are individuals more worthy of appearing on banknotes than poets.
Why does it seem like just about every country has beautiful, clean looking, multi-colored notes, and we are stuck with boring green? VS

I like a lot small portrait US currency, the french ones are colorful but got certain attractive style. I really dislike modern gaudy issues, they feel like worthless play money. I wish one of these designs would return to Israeli notes (not my images):
