Interesting. You might find that a different teller will give you the rolls without an account, or that another local bank will - assuming you do not want to open an account.

    Spider-
Every bank has a vault...they can only hold so many coins...when that starts to get full they can't take change from non members...the same happed to me...its business.

If you ever start your own bank you will see what I mean.

No SPEEDY it is not business! It is the banks attempt to force Spider to pay them for services he does not want or need. Some banks are now charging to talk to a teller? Basically the banking industry has turned into a huge raging monster looking to consume every ounce of blood they can get out of their own customers. I would find another teller or another bank to do business! I will agree with one thing and that is the banks DO NOT WANT COINS as they must be counted, rolled, stored and they do take up space. None the less, coins are money and just what are banks for these days?

    I again must disagree--

A bank is a business...just like any other business.
The bank is under no law to take your money...the banks are not run by the Gov.
If you take a coin into a dealer and he already has too many he might not buy it...just because it is already overstocked...a bank is almost the same way.

The bank is not "forcing" Spider to do anything...if he doesn't like it go to another bank.

Sorry to hear it Spider. I like my bank because I can take coins to the bank in a jar and they run it through their counter and give me back the bills. I try not to abuse the service since I know it costs the bank to offer the service, but it is nice to not have to roll it myself.

Yeah Spider if they wont even give you rolls of coins than what you do is you tell them "My dad said if you guys ever denied me turning in rolls of coins or buying some that he is going to close out his account". If they ask for a name dont give it but make them shiver in their shoes and walk out and then come back a day or two later and try it again.

Yes...you could say that, but if you do you reputation will go down the drain.
As you will learn latter in life, a good reputation is very important.

    PS
Banks do really give a hoot at losing one account---

Hehe I don't see why it would. If anything the reputation of the bank's would cuz I would talk about their obnoxious and unfriendly policy's to people.
