The Baltimore Whitman Show is coming -- 31 March-3 April. As usual I expect to be there at the opening hour (10AM) on Friday, 1 April. Fortunately for me it's door-to-door in an hour. I can only recall missing one of the 3 shows per year in the past 10-15 years. And these are the only shows I attend regularly. Obviously I start preparing early. I've been to 2-3 ANA shows but they have never done much for me. I would like to go to one of the FUN shows and I believe the Central States show is a biggie. I'll pass on the Long Beach shows; too far and expensive to travel to.
I am planning on going on Saturday. This will be the last show I will be able to attend before I move to Korea. Super excited.
I'm praying that I can wangle Saturday off, and have a couple bucks in my pocket for a decent MS Lincoln Woodie. Or something.
I can never afford all the stuff I want but I do love going through several of the dealer's world bins.
Paddy, I wonder if @leaconcen will be there, too. It would nice if one of you guys could get some photos of members so we can put a face on the username. Have fun everybody! Chris
Chris The spring show I usually go with PG aka Bill, and Alan of Coinzip , another dealer friend from Alan 's neck of the woods also named Bill ! We have met there last year. This year I'm shooting for Saturday. However I have a store grand opening in April. So I may only fly by Friday afternoon to take care of some business. You could ask Bill or Alan if they are going to attend . I've been off this week to TCB at home as I know within the next month or so I'm going to be very busy at work. Plus I maybe down in your neck of the woods for 3 other store openings and training staff. Well Miami area not west coast. Made the mistake of turning on my phone this morning must be a hundred plus e mails.
As of now I am planning on driving down, probably on Thursday, leaving Friday and Saturday for the show.
They posted the Dealer List if anyone didn't already know. They usually do it about 30 days ahead of time and I forgot to check last week.
I was thinking of taking the train down from Philadelphia. Does anyone know how far the convention center is from the Amtrak station?
It seems we share a city as well as (apparently) a name. I usually just ride Greyhound down; the extra hour enroute saves over half the fare ($30 RT via Greyhound, $36 one way via Amtrak) which is more money for coins. As is usual for Greyhound, their location isn't the best - I'm kinda "street" and it doesn't bother me - but the walk is a pleasant one past the stadiums and Waterfront to the Convention Center.
