I know when it's time to mention a Whitman in Baltimore. The time is when I start printing out my wantlists and registration. I always go Friday early. I get there in time for the 10 AM opening to the public. I rarely stay long. If I'm still there at 1 PM something must have caught my interest. Hope to see you there.

I've never had a very good experience at this show. I've gone twice now. The first time I went to the show I got a 1887 O VAM 2 Double 1, triple 7, on a trade for a bunch of junk Morgans. I wasn't particularly looking for this type of VAM. What got me was the dealer told me it was at least an MS 64. I've posted pics of the same coin on here. Last time I went, I figured I could do a trade plus cash for an 1880 S DMPL Morgan MS 64 or 63. Of the three dealers I went to. They said I was lied to and my coin was a slider. One guy even told me "No one cares about vams, it's a junk coin." So... Evidently I don't know squat about coins
