I was just wondering if anyone else was planning on going to the Baltimore Coin & Currency Show on March 23-25 at the Baltimore Convention Center. My wife and I are going to make the trip down. Its supposed to be a 350 table show, 5 times larger than our biggest local show. Ive added this link for the show. http://hometown.aol.com/baltimorecoinshw/
I had my calendar marked and had requested the day off from work (I usaully go on Friday before the coins are picked through) but just found out I have to go to Richmond VA that day so I'll be going 2 hours in the the oposite direction. Oh well, I think I'll make the Hagerstown, MD show on 3/3 not as nice as the Baltimore show but will carry me over I guess. I do not know exactly how many tables they have there but it has grow bigger each time I have gone there. Have fun and good luck in your search.
I think they're supposed to have 55 tables this year. I believe its about the same as last year. Its probably about all they can fit into that small room they have it in, it gets pretty tight for the amount of people that attend. Did you make it to Hagerstown for the last show? I like it also but Im saving my money for Baltimore this year.
I might make it, my house is only about 25 miles from the coin show. Nice part of Baltimore but parking sucks.
I've made it to the last few in Hagerstown but have attended this show off and on for over 20 years. I use to live about 45 minutes north of there 20 years ago when I was in the military and ended up now about an hour south. Almost always the same faces they do not change often at these shows but that makes it easier for me as well, knowing which tables to pass on bye and which to stop at.
Im glad its in a nice part of the city because I have no idea where Im going down there. I need to get on Mapquest and get directions. Whats wrong with the parking? Is it a parking garage or do they charge a fortune to park. Let me know.
If you've never been to the Hagerstown show its a nice one to go to. Its in the Venice Inn ballroom along RT 40. Ill find the dates and post them in here if anyone is interested.
It is a little of both. Get their early for the best parking or stay at a local hotel and parking is most likely free and walk to the show.
I will definitely be at the Baltimore show. I usually have a pretty good time there. I'm am also hoping to make it to Hagerstown as well.
Heres the link for the Hagerstown Coin Show if anyone wants to go. http://www.coinshows.com/hagerstown_icc.html
I used to live in Annapolis. Take the light rail in to the Convention Center stop (or Camden Yards - they're less than 100 yards apart). Parking is free for the suburban light rail lots, and a daily round trip ticket is about $5. Much less frustrating than trying to park in the city.
