My dad has chancer he is my hero whe hear next week of he is going to made it Alexander virtus walking sestertius
Sorry to read that ro ! Cancer isn't necessarily an end. Depending on which organ is affected and how early it's diagnosed, there are plenty of things that can be done to cure it. I've been through three cancers myself and always considered them to be the start of the rest of my life (never even considered selling my coins....just in case) Heroes never die Q
So sorry to hear this, ro... I hope next week brings positive news. In praise of modern medicine, here's a coin with Aesculapius: Denarius of Clodius Albinus (193-195, as Caesar), RIC 2. Aesculapius standing left, naked to waist, feeding serpent climbing up staff.
Terribly sorry to hear that, although with modern medicine and treatment, not as bad as it was in past times. Best wishes for BOTH of you.
So sorry to read that. I completely agree with @Cucumbor. It’s not necessary the end. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with a lung metastatic cancer about 3.5 years ago. She never smoke an entire cigarette in her life. She is treating and up to now I can tell you that the disease is not cured, but controled. So, keeping walking!
Don't give up hope, the cancer world is real advanced today . I beat stage 4 cancer, 15 years ago and been cancer free ever since ...
I'm hoping for the best and that tomorrow brings you a sigh of relief... I'll also post a coin of Asclepius.
My father was diagnosed with lung cancer last November. He is a pretty heavy smoker. He has had chemo, radiation therapy, and now chemo again. The docs have said chemo is necessary to arrest the spread of the cancer and specifically, keeping it out of the brain. So, this type of cancer probably isn't curable but can be managed over a period of years. Best of luck to you and family @ro1974
Sorry to hear the bad news ro1974, keep a positive outlook on it, as others have mentioned it is not necessarily the end.
I lost my father a few months ago, and it is an experience I would never wish on anyone, even though unfortunately if we live long enough then sooner or later we are all fated to experience it. I do hope your father beats this cancer and that you can have additional time with him. Make the best of the time you do have with him though. I can tell you that looking back on it I wish I had spent extra time with my own dad. Postumus Billon Antoninianus Aesculapius reverse
Best wishes, my bro. Cancer is a war with many battles. You have to fight to win. No retreat, no surrender!
I am sad to hear of that. Kurt Belman here at Coin Talk said he is a 2 time survivor of cancer, but suffers daily from chronic pain.
I have friend who survived 3 cancers and has lupus. It certainly is survivable, just get treated early and by someone who knows what they're doing! My thoughts and wishes are with you and your dad, good luck!
