Also notice the mint mark looks like it could be a " P " or maybe a " B ", which, of course I know there is no such thing as a B mint but it does kinda look like it...
While this does appear to be less common with newer coins, go back and take a look at, say, the average early 1980's dime; see the similarities? The die was simply overused and displays deterioration. And at the risk of making someone else cry (not you, OP), it's "die", not "dye", the latter of which would be either to color or change the color of something, or the substance used to do so.
Maybe the OP was referring to the colors and thinking that since the coin is only a year old or so that it couldn't be PMD (AT). However, it is my opinion that I wouldn't put anything past coin doctors. Chris
Well thanks for the info Chris and BooksB4Coins....And Books, of course you are right, it's die not dye.....I have been having that word ( dye) on my mind for a few days now cause I am thinking of dyeing my hair polka dot...
I may have considered this had I seen (noticed?) what I thought to be colors... The "differences" still look like the lighting and/or possibly reflections me, but is getting to the point I'm more apt to trust the eyes of others than my own.
