I saw mention the kingdom of Bactria on another post a bit ago and it spared interest in the kingdom far out at the end of Alexander's conquests. I find these Greek outpost kingdoms very fascinating and was lucky enough to snag this example. Really growing a deep appreciation of how far the Hellenistic world stretched over a long period of time. Sadly the capital of Balkh has been further plundered after the fall of the Afghan government two years ago. Wish I could have visited the ruins, but not really into it these days.
