Tucson Coin show was a big dissapointment, to say the least. Overgraded, cleaned and overpriced material was the norm for raw coins. I picked up a cpl Lincoln RPM's I did not have, notably a 1938 D/D/D in primo red unc. If I had brought more cash, there was a nice NGC 1924-D MS-65 BR for $1000 that I was drooling over, best looking strike on a 24-D I have ever seen, it was beautiful. I'll dream about that one for a while. Now I wish I would have hit the ATM. Also saw a PCGS MS-65 1943/2 P Jeffy, again, too much cash, I was looking for a nice XF/AU. More $$$ to save for the big ANA in March I guess, it was fun to get out of town for a night anyways.
Sorry to hear that you didn't find a nice 1943/2 nickel. I hear Teletrade has a nice one in today's sale. Speedy
Magman, ouch...wrong date. My 38 D/D/D is vf. The 54-S/S is the primo red unc, I also bought a 38-D/D. I'll post pics today. Sorry about mistake, tired I guess.
I also attended the Tucson show on Saturday. Definitely agree, it was a very disappointing show. The only $$$ I spent was for parking and entrance. I was looking for some toned dollars and some commemoratives I don't have. No luck on the commems and the few dollars I saw with good toning were priced way above any sense of reasonable. Also, as mentioned, lots of cleaned and otherwise problem coins, which were also overpriced. Dan
