I have a question kids. I have a Claudius Gothicus Antoninianus (RIC 212). The mintmark on the bottom is a "B". Where is this coin from ???? Thanks.

    Antioch mint, 2nd officina. RIC V 212

This was before mintmarks really became common. The B represents the second workshop of the mint.

Kind of makes sense. During that timeframe Antioch, (along with a couple of others), could arguably have been thought of the "second city" of the Roman empire after Rome itself.

Don't know if they intended it that way, but it will help me remember it. :)

Edit: Nvm, posted before Bill clarified the B stood for the second workshop at Antioch. Dang, there goes a shortcut for me to remember. :(
