AZ Quarter - missing clad

    85 grains, .0610" thick. Any opinions? mint error? value?

    Nope, just discolored. 85 grains is 5.67 grams exactly what it is supposed to weigh. A missing clad layer would be closer to 4 grams.

    Thanks for the reply. I was coming to that conclusion after reading an article linked from this forum. No big loss, it was in some change I'd received.
    At least it got me to finally join after coming here so many times for the great information.

    That one looks like it laid out in the AZ sun too long. Sunburn!

    Some discoloration of the coin, in my opinion. A missing clad would make the coin appear completely copper-colored all around...
