"average circulated"

    what the heck does that mean? I've seen that term used in coin ads.

    It means "these coins are junk and I don't want to specify G and AG in my ad."

    what Roy said. It means AG/G, but usually it does exclude any damaged coins (other than heavy circulation).

    I usually take that to mean the coin has a rim and readable date but is basically worth bullion value. If it is priced on that basis it can be worthwhile as long as you realize what you are getting and don't overpay.
