I found an error coin in very good shape, took it to my coin dealer and asked to have it sent to PCGS for authentication and grading. Gave the dealer the coin on November 1st 2023, it's now June of 2024 and I still haven't gotten the coin back. Dealer keeps telling me "thanks for your patience " bit is it normal to take this long?
So sorry for the long delay. What kind of coin and error is it? Seems like he's taking you for a ride, in my opinion. I would ask more questions like how to track it maybe??
Definitely not! Do you have evidence? Pictures of the "error" coin? Paperwork for the transaction? I went to your first post on CoinTalk back in November. Is it the Rotated Die Cent? Screenshot..
I sent 5 coins to PCGS on 11/14 asking for variety attribution. They sent them to Great Collections about a week ago. About 6 months but GC and PCGS are very close to each other.
Those poor guys at PCGS & NGC work like dogs and are under a lot of pressure due to the volume of coins they must do each day.
