I have been distracted well away from my collecting focus areas after being offered pickings of a small British private collection. Amonst them was this. The grade isn't great but I think the bust is relatievly scarce. I will share some more of my pickings later.

Heroically nude busts of Aurelian appear to be relativey sparse on the market.

Neat example; however, please correct me if I'm wrong @maridvnvm, but to my old eyes it appears the bust on the obverse is seen from the front left.

These heroically nude busts are generally front the rear. The shield is on the left shoulder and tge spear in the right hand. The position of the shield can only mean thar the bust is from the rear. The strap of the shield is across the back.

Here are some heroic busts of Probus, which are also from the rear

You don't have to take my word for it. Here is the entry in MER RIC which also describes it as from the rear - https://ric.mom.fr/en/coin/2573

The Probus coins look as though they are from the rear, but I'm still seeing the Aurelian from the left front. I'm pretty sure it's just me as I wouldn't dream of questioning your knowledge about these coins.
