Having moved to Colorado comes with some fun perks. I finally decided that I had to check out a dispensery and see what it was all about.
They DO NOT like it when you take pictures. However, when I came across this I HAD TO!
Though, I didn't purchase the product, this time, I was floored to see they were not only using the image of Augustus, you know, the deified first emperor of Rome, to sell their wears, but with coins no less!!!

On this denarius I always thought it looked like Augy was spitting. Nope. He was hitting!

It’s always nice to find ancient coin related references when out and about! Nice coins Ryan.

I wonder what Augustus would think of his likeness being used as such for advertising. :greedy:

    My two favorite Augusti:

    Augustus Agrippa Dupondius.JPG
    Augustus RPC I 1554.JPG

The horrific cleaning job on the Nem Croc is a real bummer, but the lamination flaw over Julius's face isn't so nice either. Overall, each coin is pretty neat no matter the detractors.

Some years ago I purchased this denarius of Titus. I have since sold this coin. However I always thought that because of the flan issue located in front of his face Titus was smoking a reefer. Xanttitus1.jpg
THIS is NO LONGER MY COIN
