Picked this up at a small town auction today for $85. I thought it was a steal, What do you think?

It has been cleaned, but I think still an easy GOOD 4

For a CC? Sure, sounds fair to me...

The "Twenty Cents" is still legible too; most 20 cent pieces I've seen worn down that much you can barely see it, if at all.

I would say that it is a G-6 and if it is genuine, then that was more than a steal! In fact, $85 would be nearly $300 below actual value.

    Thanks for your comments everyone.

I see no signs of counterfeiting on this coin, wear patterns seem normal, no casting bubbles, etc...

It has a die crack on the reverse that runs from the "U" of UNITED, downwards through the star and then down through the TWENTY connecting the tops of of these letters. Anyone have any info on this die break?

    Many thanks

I can't get a good look at the mint-mark - does it match the shape/appearance, etc. of a genuine one?

Yeah mark, the mintmark matches up ok. Just trying to find pic's of other reverses online. looking for one with the above mentioned reverse die break & markers that may go along with it.
