After posting this coin as a scan almost 2 years ago, it was nearly impossible to identify the Roman Emperor on the obverse. Thanks to digital photography, I can now assure that I have Caracalla there. The reverse shows a plowing scene heading left. After long search I couldn't find a match. Could you please assist me to find out the attribution of this coin. I guess it was struck in Berytus. Thank you. Caracal O Plow HLeft.JPG Caracall R Plowing sc..JPG

Thanks MZ. The only matching scene was struck in Lycaonia-Lystra under Emperor Augustus nearly 25 BC. It has a plowing scene heading left on reverse. CNG Triton XI.

    Huh ... 7Charles, that's quite the OP-addition, eh?

Ummm, the only plowing-scene I have is with that filthy bugger, Titus (gawd)
