I picked this cent up because the 1 in 1864 had an abnormal base. I noticed what I first thought was some damage around the eye when I purchased the coin but the price was OK so I bought it. After viewing it blown up I am leaning towards it not being damage. My access to Snows reference moved to another state with a friend and I can't find anything in any of my reference sources. Part of this looks like die clash. Not sure what is going on with the 1.

That's what I was thinking, it looks like a L in the part farthest from the eye and almost like a chain across the bridge of the nose. In the first pic there are a number of raised areas below the bust also.

Is the 4 repunched on the bottom left of the crossbar? The 1 looks like simply a hit on the coin, but the base of the 1 is thick on the S7, which has a repunched 4.

Pretty darn close but the 6 on mine doesn't have the ghosting but if the light is right there appears to be some at the 4's tangent. What do you make of the stuff at the nose? I need a stereoscope or a better camera.
