Attributing a 1787 CT copper.....

    One of the things to do with CT coppers is attribute them using the Miller book.

    Well... I have the Miller book but this coin is escaping me....

    It looks to be an "AUCTOPI" obverse but the reverse has

    ❀ INDE:❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ❀ ET LIB:❀

    And I cant find an Auctopi obv with that reverse... maybe it is right there and I am being stupid... (most likely)

    Anyone good enough at this to know which Miller variety it is?

    One note to add.... in the scan you can see the stem in the R more clearly than in the hand... it looks more like AUCTOPI in hand.. maybe that is where I am messing this up...

    I think it is 33.19-Z.2 but not positive. Check it out closely, I may have time to look later.

    No, I have the Whitman Encyclopedia of Colonial and Early American coins. I did recognize it as one of the 33 obverses though. Those and the 37's are the ones that always give me a hard time.
