What's the general feeling about listing ASE (proof and unc) empty boxes on eBay (or anywhere)?
Everything is there except the coins.

What ever floats your boat....doesn't bother me a bit. I've seen dealers do it.

Hey Why not? I've seen dealers advertising proof set packing and COT's. I've even got a box around here somewhere with maybe a dozen ASE boxes in it. Haven't seen it in a while, hummm maybe I should go on a treasure hunt.

I sell all of my left over boxes. Otherwise they are just collecting dust. I might as well try to get a couple bucks for them. Some people think that the certs actually mean something and boxes do get damaged from time to time and might need replacing.

    Okay, thanks.
I'll go ahead and list them.
I've got 8 proof and 7 unc, with different dates.
They seem to go for about $2-3 each on eBay.

One of the dealers I visit has a room with nothing but boxes and empty holders he buys from anywhere he can get. It seems that often enough he buys stuff that doesn't have boxes or COAs and he just goes to the back and if he has one viola' the coin is now whole again with its documentation and etc. So if you don't need em, there could be someone out there that does.

    Exactly!

Most buyers want the box and a dealer will pay a few bucks to make the sale. We have a pretty good pile of them at work as well but occasionally we have to get one from another dealer.
