I picked up $10 worth of the new Gettysburg quarter at the Philly mint yesterday. The design is average at best for the business strike. I'm a big Civil war nut so of course I had to have it. They could have done so much more with that theme. I don't think I'll be collecting this series, just the ones that really catch my eye.
I hear what you are saying about the business strikes. I do like some of the designs as well. They look even better in silver. :smile TC
I'm waiting until they receive the silver proof sets in at the gift shop. I agree they all look so much better in silver.
