Well these have been kind of neat, I have been getting one from the places my family has been....one such place is not on a coin yet I do not think.....It was thought of for sure... Devil's Tower It did not make it but it should be at least in the next 2016 or 2017 bunch and its too late for 2016. For those who have never been there, it is worth the drive if out of the way a few hours. As a rock hound it is just plain neat. The family had a game in the car to see who would see it first, the son won. It was shockingly small from 10 miles away....read that again....... Anyhow.....Just a thought. Ethan My own pictures...
I am surprised no one agrees with the Devils Tower on a 5-OZer. It is actually pretty cool, however I will warn you, Do NOT drink the Devil's To wer Beer...it is worse than PBR....Its a tourist thing I guess..
You do realize those designs were for a commemorative coin that came out this year and it is a one shot issue? There is no 5 oz piece, and there will not be 2017 issue? Wyoming had its ATB quarter back in 2010 and they won't get another unless the Secretary of the Treasury decides to do a second 11 year round of ATB quarters. If he does then you might have a chance at a Devils Tower ATB quarter and 5 oz in 2022.
I am not sure you understand me, they come out with 5 Oz version of EACH state quarter, its the ATB 5 Oz program. I just want one of Devils Tower, maybe in 2018 or 2019. They are doing national parks now..and that my friend is a national park. See here: http://catalog.usmint.gov/coin-programs/america-the-beautiful-quarters-program/#pmax=250&pmin=100
Ah poop - I just saw what you meant, the Gold $5 coin. Yeah that one is gone and I would not want one in Gold, now a 5 Oz silver design, you bet.
Like I said your only chance for a five oz devils Tower will be if they extend the ATB series and it gets selected in 2022.
