Just like I figured, if the coin seems rare or hot, the vendors are going to rip you off. The mint should sell these direct to the public (just like the proof sets), at least everyone could get one at a decent price. Lack
How are they going to "rip you off"? You do realize you have the ability to not buy them, right? Seriously???
You can about guarantee that if they were sold directly by the mint they would be considerably higher than they will be being initially offered by the bullion distributors.
