Assess this Barber Half

VG-8 in my opinion.

 

I really want to give it an 8 but I can't. I doubt NGC or PCGS would slap an 8 on there. It's a PCI 8 how's that?

 

It's a solid VG-8, but when selling, I would mention the reverse rim ticks and obverse scratches.

I love that coin. Barber was s concented with hw coins wore down and you can see that in these VG Barbies. A worn seciens they are very attractive.

VG8 with good eye appeal

In my opinion, it is a VG8 with good eye appeal. I think we have all seen other VG8s that look a little washed & just have less eye appeal.

Thanks for the grading and the comments. I agree that the coin has very nice eye appeal -- that is what attracted me to it in the first place. I looked at several that were slightly better in grade, but really liked the look of this one.

easy VG-8, plus a tiny bit.

PeaceJoeMorgan: What wouldn't PCGS or NGC slab it? Looks okay form here.

 

No, PCGS or NGC would slab it, I was just questioning the grade PCGS or NGC would put on it. I wasn't seeing enough leaves in the headband for a VG8, but upon further review I think the overall eye appeal of the coin should get it a VG8 from anyone.
